Is this official exam preparation?
No. PhraseBit is independent and not affiliated with exam providers. It offers general, exam style activities to help you practise.
What levels are available?

A1, A2, B1, and B2 - these levels come from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), a European standard for describing language ability.

  • A1 – Beginner: Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.
  • A2 – Elementary: Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information.
  • B1 – Intermediate: Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling and can produce simple connected text.
  • B2 – Upper Intermediate: Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, and understand the main ideas of complex text.
Which languages can I practise?
  • Portuguese (EU-PT): Supported at all levels (A1–B2) for reading, writing, and questions for speaking practice.
  • Portuguese (BR-PT): Additionally supported within Portuguese for writing and questions for speaking practice.
  • Spanish: Beta. Question and writing features work; more content coming.
  • French: Beta. Question and writing features work; more content coming.
  • Italian: Beta. Question and writing features work; more content coming.

English is also available from any of these languages for questions and writing practice.

Do I need prior study?
Yes - PhraseBit is designed for learners who already know basic grammar and vocabulary and want focused exam-style practice.
Are Spanish, French, and Italian fully ready?
Spanish, French, and Italian are in beta. Questions and writing practice are available, but we're actively polishing the experience before aiming to add more content. Portuguese is fully supported.
