Notebook, CAPLE ticket, and coffee on a desk symbolising A2 exam prep

If CAPLE’s booking system is anything to go by, everybody wants to take the A2 exam, and when I was prepping for the B1 exam one of the resources I found most helpful/reassuring that I was on the right track was people talking about their exam experience. Where people talk about this is a bit all over the internet, so I thought I’d pool together all the resources/links I found of people discussing their experience taking the A2 exam:

Reddit threads

Firstly, probably the most obvious one, Reddit. Every now and then there will be a post (usually on r/portuguese) where everyone comes together to talk about how their exam went:

Practice Portuguese forum threads

There are also some quite lengthy Practice Portuguese discussion threads around exam experiences:

Video: exam-day experience

Deep-dive: step-by-step guide

Finally, an additional one I found which is very thorough and tells and shows you all the specifics you’d need to know on the day (and for getting your results afterwards):

Overall, the main 2 themes I notice from these posts is that we're all often in agreement that the listening section of the exam is by far the hardest section, and usually harder than the practice exams prepare you for, and secondly that people tend to switch gears 1-2 months before their exam to do dedicated exam practice (hopefully where PhraseBit can come in handy for some informal practice!)
